• Treasurer Emeritus, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Founding President of the MIT Investment Management Company. Former Ex-officio member of the Corporation of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and of its Executive, Investment, and Corporation Development Committees.

• Recently elected Executive Chair of Family Endowment Partners, a privately owned investment management firm focused on endowment –like management for smaller endowments and foundations, and for high net worth families.

• Former member of the investment advisory boards of the State of Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts PRIM; currently Director of three public companies: City of London Investment Group PLC (AIM), Ram Re Holdings (NASDAQ), and Och-Ziff Capital Management Group LLC (NYSE)

• Serves as chair of Board of Directors of The Coop; and of the Controlled Risk Insurance Company/Risk Management Foundation; and as a member of diverse investment advisory boards including Advisors of Private Equity AG, Boston Advisors, Morgan Stanley Prime Property Fund, and National University of Singapore.

• Active with charitable organizations as Treasurer and Trustee of the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Trustee of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and Trustee of the Whiting Foundation.
